Data Analyst

A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst for our client in the McLean, VA area.

Overview:
  • We are seeking a results-driven Data Analyst / Data Science Specialist with 1-5 years of experience to develop and maintain analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • This role involves building scalable data pipelines, designing intuitive dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data science solutions.
  • The ideal candidate is analytical, technically skilled, and eager to work in both on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
  • Hybrid schedule reporting onsite minimum 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance SQL and Non-SQL-based data pipelines across development, implementation, and maintenance phases.
  • Analyze complex numerical and textual datasets to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for diverse business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and visualization experts to support end-to-end project delivery.
  • Create scalable data science solutions leveraging both on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics and cloud computing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Non-SQL database technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud computing environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Desired:
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
