Data Analyst for a
Contract job with a client in
Richmond, VA(Hybrid) . Responsibilities include capturing and refining business requirements, creating stories for agile teams, and performing source to target mapping while ensuring the alignment of data sharing agreements.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Analyst job responsibilities include: - Capture and refine business and system requirements from stakeholders.
- Create user stories based on business or technical requirements for agile teams.
- Perform source-to-target mapping and establish data sharing agreements.
- Lead pre-refinement, refinement, and planning sessions with the team.
- Collaborate with data providers and ETL teams to source, curate, and provision data.
- Translate business needs into technical design and ensure alignment with application requirements.
- Document and troubleshoot application-related problems and assist with testing and solution validation.
- Leverage metadata, data modeling, and ETL frameworks to support data domains within the application.
Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business).
- 8+ years of experience in business/data analysis, requirement translation, and working within an agile environment.
- Strong experience with SQL and data querying, as well as knowledge of data modeling.
- Experience working with data providers and ETL teams to source, curate, and provision data, along with the ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
