Position Overview
The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing evaluation, development, and ongoing support to Responsive Education Solutions (RES) staff in critical reporting metrics and providing analytics on processes. Along with a focus on metrics, the Data Analyst is responsible for importing, cleaning, transforming, validating, and/or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision-making purposes.
As a Data Analyst, you will also be responsible for overseeing the integration of key datasets, managing our database systems, and creating customized dashboards and reports to support leadership, operations, marketing, and other critical departments. Your expertise will help streamline processes, optimize performance, and empower teams with the information they need to make informed, strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Education/Certification, and Experience:
BA/BS degree in quantitative fields like statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, business analytics, or a related field.
Experience in a corporate setting
Experience working with large, complex data sets
Knowledge of complex reporting techniques and tools
Experience working in a self-directed environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple projects and activities
Critical thinking, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills using SPSS, SAS, SQL, Google Sheets, and MS Excel software
Experience with data visualization like Looker, Power BI, and Tableau
Experience with statistical software such as Experian or Buxton is a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for driving a deeper understanding of behaviors through measurement and analytics
Proven experience in creating strategic reports that align Marketing activities with C-level goals
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support initiatives and data-driven recommendations.
Collect analytical requirements, write database queries, and build automated reports for internal business stakeholders and external partners.
While mining, interpreting, and cleaning our data, this team member will need to understand the business questions and objectives, ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the data's full potential.
Communication & Teamwork:
Communicate the story behind the data to non-technical stakeholders, translating insights into results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
Provide requested or relevant reports to the supervisor and other personnel in a timely fashion, and utilize the best method for providing requested data
Develop reports and reporting mechanisms to meet broad-based information needs, including metrics, analysis, and for audit purposes
Present data in charts/graphs/tables, designing and developing databases for collecting data
Provide data analysis and project & process improvement recommendations
Generate ongoing and special reports and queries for the department as assigned or requested
Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing campus needs
Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
Provide system-related support in other project areas as assigned
Disaggregate and analyze data
