We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves working closely with rate audit, development, engineering, and rating support teams to support and enhance both on-premises and cloud-hosted rating systems. Key responsibilities include data analysis, requirements gathering, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze: Understand carrier rating and data, internal rating systems, and query databases for custom analysis and QA scenarios (data exports, data analysis, QA).
  • Research: Investigate unknown data mappings and update system configurations to optimize accuracy and revenue.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of parcel rating systems and contribute expertise to team discussions.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to design technical solutions that improve efficiency and drive revenue.
  • Support: Respond to internal support requests in a timely manner, analyze issues, and communicate effectively with end users to determine optimal solutions.
  • Jira Management: Share responsibility for managing the Jira backlog, tracking tasks, and ensuring smooth project workflows.
  • Documentation: Create technical requirements, operational documentation, and process flow documentation for development, rating, and DevOps teams.
  • Team Support: Work closely with and serve as a backup to other team members.
  • Availability: Be on call for emergencies and off-peak production work when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • SQL, SSMS, Microsoft SQL Server
    • SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions
    • Data analysis and quality assurance
    • Requirements gathering, process mapping, and diagramming
  • Preferred experience with:
    • Parcel carrier rate sheets, zones, and service types
    • Business Intelligence (BI), reporting, and analytics tools
    • Database and data warehouse design
    • Managing large datasets (hundreds of millions of records, terabytes of data)
    • Scripting and process automation
    • Git-based source control systems
    • Jira and Agile development methodologies
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies independently
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
