Position Overview:
Northeastern University's Information Technology Services division is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our dynamic "fast-action" team as a Data Analyst. Working collaboratively with team members, executives, and other stakeholders, this position will track down information and data, then analyze, interpret, and present data to aid in strategic storytelling and communications for the IT division.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and clean data from various sources and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
  • Interpret data to identify trends, make recommendations, and support decision-making processes.
  • Develop and design engaging data visualizations and reports that convey complex information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to rapidly turn around deliverables, track down information, and address and solve pressing issues, often within tight timeframes.
  • Quickly pivot and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Work as part of a small, cohesive team to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, and in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working within higher education or technology sectors may be helpful, but not required.
