Description
  • Design, conduct and report data analyses using appropriate research methodology as requested by the Executive Director of Data Strategy and Academic Services leadership.
  • Research effectiveness of Academic Services programs, partnering with Dallas ISD Evaluation and Assessment as needed.
  • Interpret analyses to identify implications and potential action steps.
  • Design and present professional development for Academic Services staff and other district employees on the interpretation and implications of data analyses to help drive decision-making and actions.
  • Visualize data analyses in accessible/easy to understand formats for internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to summary reports, spreadsheets, dashboards and slide decks.
  • Create and maintain the organization and warehousing of historical data, analyses and data deliverables.
  • Keep abreast of the latest statistical analysis techniques and software.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research in education related to the Academic Services teams' body of work (locally, statewide, and nationally).
  • Maintain a working understanding of all district programs and how data analyses will impact those programs.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required; Ph.D. from an accredited university preferred.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience.
  • Experience in the field of educational research, evaluation, methodologies, measurement theory, planning or computer programming.
  • Experience designing, monitoring, and implementing program evaluations.
  • Experience managing and analyzing data with statistical programs including but not limited to SPSS, MS Excel, Alteryx, R, and/or Python.
  • Experience in building and maintaining data dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Experience with mapping software including Alteryx, ArcGIS and Tableau.
  • Skills in recording methodology with technical precision, accuracy, readability, and editorial correctness.
  • Skills in strategic and operational planning required to implement district-wide planning, evaluation and accountability project.
  • Ability to communicate to meet the diversity of the community, district staff members, and the public at large.
