Data Analyst II

Job Summary:
The Data Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position is responsible for analyzing, managing, and visualizing data to improve operational efficiency, enhance project performance, and support business strategy. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, technical expertise in data manipulation, and experience in the telecommunications engineering and construction services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Create predictive models and perform statistical analysis to support business forecasting and operational improvements.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders across the organization.
Database Management & Data Integrity
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by maintaining and optimizing databases, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve data collection methods and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Develop SQL queries and scripts to extract and transform data for analysis.
  • Maintain documentation and data dictionaries to support governance and standardization efforts.
Operational & Financial Insights
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation, cost efficiency, and project performance.
  • Analyze field operations, project timelines, and financial data to support engineering and construction initiatives.
  • Support workforce planning by analyzing labor trends, productivity, and capacity forecasting.
  • Develop automated reporting tools to streamline data delivery and improve real-time decision-making.
Collaboration & Business Support
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to align data insights with business objectives.
  • Assist project managers and department heads in developing KPIs and tracking progress toward key milestones.
  • Provide training and guidance to business users on data tools, reporting best practices, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance overall data analytics capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and querying.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the telecommunications, engineering, or construction services industry.
  • Familiarity with GIS data and spatial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analytics and automation.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and their application in data-driven decision-making.
Work Environment & Additional Information:
  • Hybrid or on-site work may be required depending on project and operational needs.
  • This position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Occasional travel to project sites or company locations may be necessary.
