Description / Position Overview Data Analyst II Are you a detail-oriented data professional with a passion for Power BI and data visualization? The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a Data Analyst II to support the training, development, enhancement, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, assist team members in optimizing dashboards, and help elevate data-driven decision-making across the organization.
As a Data Analyst II, you will: - Develop and Maintain Dashboards - Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and decision-making.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders - Work closely with various teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Support and Train Analysts - Assist team members in creating and refining Power BI dashboards while providing training and best practices.
- Ensure Data Accuracy - Monitor data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Perform Data Analysis - Use various data analysis techniques to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
- Enhance Data Processes - Contribute to improving data standards, governance, and efficiency across the organization.
- Stay Current on Industry Best Practices - Keep up with Power BI updates and industry trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities.

- Data proficiency and familiarity with SQL and other data querying tools.
- Communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Collaboration, mentorship, and the willingness to support and mentor team members in data analysis and visualization techniques.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Three years of full-time professional analytical experience in computer science or business analytics, with direct experience using Microsoft Power BI or similar software
