Job Title: Data Analyst/Data Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid Onsite)

Duration: Long term Contract

Job Description:

• Perform data enquiry, data analysis and data sourcing in Relational and Big Data database environments.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, sources, and data integration used in the business domain.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the technology systems, data stores, data pipelines, job streams etc.

• Translate business requirements into data models and program design specifications Modify ETL and other programs to implement changes to business requirements.

• Respond to questions from business analysts and developers regarding query building and optimization.

• Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution. Perform L3 support when needed

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling

• Strong SQL query-writing skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with coding in one or more of Python, shell, Spark programs

• At least 5 years financial industry technology experience and knowledge services data of financial Good verbal and written communication skills
