Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually
POSITION SUMMARY The Data Administrator is an entry-level role responsible for supporting data ingestion, processing, and quality management within the Azure Fabric ecosystem. This position focuses on ensuring that client data is accurately ingested, transformed, and enriched, while maintaining high data quality and compliance standards. The Data Administrator works under the guidance of senior team members and collaborates with ETL, Analytics, and Strategy teams to ensure data is clean, consistent, and ready for analysis.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE - Ensuring all client data is ingested, cleaned, transformed, and enriched accurately using Azure Fabric, Data Wrangler, and Synapse Notebooks.
- Maintaining data governance and compliance with Microsoft Purview and established data security protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with client-facing teams, ensuring their data needs are understood, supported, and met with accurate, clean, and timely data.
- Supporting analytics teams with clean, reliable data in the Bronze, Silver, and Gold lakehouse layers.
OBJECTIVES - Manage the end-to-end ETL process for client data, including file-based and API ingestion.
- Implement data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment processes in Azure Fabric.
- Maintain data quality through automated validation checks and MDM rules.
- Monitor data lineage using Microsoft Purview, ensuring traceability from raw data to final analytics-ready datasets.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources into the MDM platform.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Strategy teams to optimize data pipelines.
COMPETENCIES - Proficiency with Azure Fabric ecosystem, including Data Wrangler, Synapse Notebooks, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data transformation principles.
- Intermediate knowledge of data quality management, including data cleansing, normalization, and validation techniques.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, data architecture, and modeling.
- Experience with data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and data stewardship principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data management, data administration, or ETL processes.
- Experience with geocoding services (Azure Maps) and MDM concepts.
