As a Cycling Instructor, you'll help strengthen the cycling program, creating motivating and adaptable workouts for people of all skill levels. You'll design high-energy cycling classes, provide expert guidance on form, and help attendees through their exercise while having fun. Whether it's a high-intensity ride or a more endurance-focused session, your enthusiasm and leadership will help elevate each rider's experience.

Additional Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and lead recreational programs and activities, including sports, fitness classes, games, and other leisure activities.
- Develop choreography and routines and incorporates music.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by enforcing rules, monitoring activities, and responding to emergencies as necessary.
- Provide instruction and guidance to participants of various skill levels, adapting programs to meet the needs of individuals and groups.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used properly and safely.
- Promote participation in recreational activities through community outreach, marketing, and engagement efforts.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and complete necessary forms related to program attendance, incidents, and other relevant data.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
- Collaborate with other staff members, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings and improve service delivery.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Skills and Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must obtain First Aid; CPR/AED, within 30 days of hire date.
- Fitness Certification or valid certification for the specific class(es) assigned
- Six (6) months of formal fitness or classroom teaching, or related experience; or, an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Provide courteous and efficient service to the public and in responding to inquiries, complaints and requests in a fair, tactful and firm manner.
- Able to develop fitness routines that incorporates music, tempo, cueing techniques, rhythm, and choreography
- Able to develop and implement fitness classes appropriate to the class description and ability level of participants.
- Supervise multiple games and activities simultaneously.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Operate basic computer programs.
- Able to write reports and fill out forms.
- Use critical thinking and judgement while assessing situations.
