iQuasar is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our proposal writing team in developing technical solutions for federal proposals. The SME will provide expert guidance on cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management strategies to ensure our proposals align with federal cybersecurity standards such as CMMC, NIST, and FISMA

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with proposal writers to develop compliant and compelling cybersecurity solutions for federal RFPs, RFIs, and white papers.
  • Provide technical expertise in CMMC, NIST 800-171/800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, Zero Trust Architecture, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Analyze solicitation requirements to tailor cybersecurity strategies for proposal responses.
  • Draft technical content, including system security plans, compliance roadmaps, risk management frameworks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including proposal writers and proposal team leads to translate technical concepts into clear, persuasive proposal narratives.
  • Ensure proposals address government cybersecurity compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Support color team reviews by providing technical validation and enhancements to proposal content.
  • Participate in solutioning sessions to develop competitive and innovative cybersecurity approaches.
  • Stay current on federal cybersecurity trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance proposal responses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on federal compliance and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FedRAMP, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience supporting federal proposal writing by developing cybersecurity technical solutions.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex cybersecurity concepts.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Security+ or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a proposal-driven environment.
  • Experience working with government agencies or federal contractors.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition processes and contracting vehicles.
  • Hands-on experience implementing cybersecurity controls in cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
