The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) of Leidos National Security Sector is searching for a dedicated Cybersecurity Service Operations Engineer II to join an upcoming cyber security program. You will play a crucial role in supporting government-critical systems, overseeing the development, integration, delivery, and ongoing operations of IT managed security services. Your work will help monitor cybersecurity threats and enhance security posture across the enterprise. This position is in anticipation of a future contract award.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring the functionality, security, and quality of cybersecurity systems and solutions in a DoD or enterprise environment.
  • Designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies to validate system performance, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with cybersecurity, development, and program management teams to support mission-critical objectives while adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Developing and documenting test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate cybersecurity system functionality, security, and performance.
  • Defining test objectives, criteria, and schedules in alignment with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Validating system configurations, software updates, and hardware changes to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects or issues found during testing to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Working with development and engineering teams to validate fixes and enhancements.
  • Establishing and maintaining QA processes and standards for the cybersecurity program.
  • Conducting reviews of system documentation, code, and configurations to ensure adherence to security and quality requirements.
  • Preparing detailed test reports, including findings, recommendations, and metrics, to communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results to support audits and accreditation efforts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, development, systems integration, and program management, to enable successful system delivery.
  • Providing recommendations for improving the quality, security, and performance of systems and solutions.
What does Leidos need from you?
  • An active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. A Doctorate in a technical domain may be considered. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including DevSecOps.
  • Experience with testing and QA tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, Nessus, and Metasploit.
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, PowerShell) for test automation and secure coding.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies is an added advantage.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
