Cybersecurity Operations Intern with Security Clearance

Responsibilities Support the monitoring and protection of cloud-based workloads within Azure. Assist in security incident identification, investigation, and response. Analyze security alerts, triage events, and help coordinate incident response. Collaborate with security engineers to implement best practices. Review security configurations and conduct vulnerability assessments. Help maintain documentation and playbooks for security operations. Participate in team meetings, knowledge transfers, and training sessions. Stay updated on the latest Azure security features and threats. Qualifications Senior status at an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Strong interest in cloud computing, cyber security, and IT operations. Foundational understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP experience is a plus). Familiarity with basic networking concepts, security principles, and incident response processes. Basic scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, verbally and in writing. Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn. Must reside in the Virginia area; relocation not provided. The salary range for this position is USD $43,200.00/Yr. - USD $72,100.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
