This role plays a crucial part in Starbucks' success by overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and continuous enhancement of company-wide cybersecurity detection and response measures.

As the Cybersecurity Operations Center Manager, you will be a proactive problem solver, a collaborative team player, and resilient in the face of challenges and uncertainty. You will possess strong problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep technical comprehension of modern cybersecurity threats. With a proven record of enhancing defense capabilities in high-stakes environments, your goal will be to deliver a premier threat defense program prepared to effectively address, contain, and resolve any cybersecurity incidents.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Leadership - Cultivating a high-performing team and a collaborative environment:
  • Introduce technical topics, encourage innovation, and acknowledge technical accomplishments.

  • Foster engagement, development, and high performance among team members.
Planning and Execution - Crafting and implementing strategic initiatives:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects and improvements.
  • Plan and manage processes to ensure the delivery of an unparalleled threat defense program.
Technical Design and Implementation - Providing expertise and executing technical responsibilities:
  • Clearly communicate the current threat and vulnerability landscape.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance operational security capabilities.
Partner Development and Team Building - Coaching and building an effective team:
  • Build and lead a supportive team that thrives on collaboration and shared success.
  • Encourage and challenge your team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Support partners in their professional growth.
Ownership - Ensuring accountability and quality outcomes:
  • Define and uphold processes, procedures, and expectations for team support responsibilities.
  • Guarantee that appropriate support documentation is in place.
  • Lead the team through high-severity operational incidents.
We are excited to meet candidates who possess:

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in an information technology field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity attack and defense strategies.
  • Experience integrating threat hunting and cyber threat intelligence into incident response processes.
  • Outstanding problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Integrity and reliability in all actions.
  • Proven ability to excel in ambiguous situations.
This role requires availability to work Eastern Time hours to support global business groups.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPM, or similar in cybersecurity, data privacy, or information risk management.
