Your Mission: As a Network Engineer, you will oversee networking solutions, including telephony, VoIP, and videoconferencing (VTC), across our main headquarters and field sites. You will collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and upgrading our global WAN/LAN infrastructure. This role is crucial in delivering support to various organizations from a centralized location, without requiring travel. It's a fantastic opportunity that contributes to a mission-critical program.
Your Unique Skills: The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in managing and operating large-scale data networks. Proficiency with standard networking equipment-like switches, routers, and patch panels-is essential. You should also have hands-on experience with videoconferencing (VTC) systems, VoIP implementation, and telephony, specifically with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Meeting Server.
- Assist in all aspects of network management, from design through implementation and maintenance.
- Evaluate network performance, identify issues, and implement efficient solutions.
- Monitor and respond to telecommunications system anomalies.
- Support deployment of VoIP, VTC, and traditional telephony systems.
- Engage with external network operation centers as necessary.
- Demonstrate an understanding of networks and services such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Install and configure new networking hardware and software.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and diagrams.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must currently possess one of the following certifications: Network+ or CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Video, or any equivalent certification approved. A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required, though relevant experience may substitute for education.
