The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is on the lookout for a proficient Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist to support a pivotal cybersecurity program that is focused on government-critical systems. Be a key player in a team responsible for the development, integration, delivery, and operations of IT managed security services, while ensuring cybersecurity threat monitoring and situational awareness for the organization. This position is in anticipation of future contract awards.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain, secure, and enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Support essential network, server, and cybersecurity systems to ensure operational reliability and protection against cyber threats.
- Lead the cyber team by providing strategic planning and technical expertise.
- Train and mentor junior infrastructure support staff, creating best practices documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Manage IT infrastructure and security projects aligning with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with security vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Assist in defining IT infrastructure budgets and optimize resource allocations.
- Oversee security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and apply remediation strategies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure high system uptime, performance, and reliability through proactive measures.
- Implement and enforce security policies and controls to secure IT systems.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct probes, and rectify vulnerabilities.
- Support compliance with industry security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Perform regular patch management and system hardening reviews.
- Configure firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs for secure network access.
- Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot issues, and enhance performance.
- Implement network segmentation, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Adopt cloud security best practices, manage access, and plan for disaster recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation concerning network configurations, security policies, and troubleshooting processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams, security analysts, and system administrators to improve IT infrastructure security and performance.
Requirements: - Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required; U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree and 12-15 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 10-13 years; a Doctorate in a technical field is also appreciated, with experience considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with adult learning concepts and instructional design methods (e.g., ADDIE model).
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or project management principles related to IT service management.
- Expertise in technologies like networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and databases.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, Azure certifications), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC, or CISSP.
- Experience in automation, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
