The Airborne Systems Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). This role is pivotal as we support the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other Department of Defense missions. You will be integral in deploying cutting-edge solutions through software design, hardware interfacing, laboratory experimentation, and more, all while working in our office near Tinker AFB, OK.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and System Owners to ensure IT systems adhere to government regulations and standards, including SP NIST 800-53A.
  • Carry out ISSO duties by establishing and managing security systems, policies, and procedures that comply with applicable directives.
  • Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective remediation strategies.
  • Enhance security awareness across systems and communicate findings to ISSMs and ISOs.
  • Implement programs ensuring users understand and adhere to security policies effectively.
  • Assess security events for impact and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Uphold stringent information security/cybersecurity principles in all IT service deliveries.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant cybersecurity experience; additional experience or certifications may substitute for degree requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a active DoD TS clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in a SIL environment and strong understanding of information security policies.
  • Skilled in writing RMF package documentation, with knowledge of NIST SP 800-53A.
  • Current Security+ 8570 certification is required.
  • Proficient in identifying system vulnerabilities and risks, with user-level experience in Linux.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of automated vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus.
  • Basic Linux and Windows administration skills.
The anticipated pay range for this position is between $126,100.00 and $227,950.00. Factors influencing compensation include job responsibilities, market alignment, and individual qualifications.
