The Airborne Systems Business Area within Leidos is seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to contribute to our operations supporting the Air Force Research Lab and other DoD missions. This role will allow you to engage with exciting projects that combine software design, hardware integration, and rigorous testing to deliver next-generation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in ensuring compliance with government regulations and standards such as NIST 800-53A.
  • Perform ISSO duties by establishing and managing security policies, systems, and procedures according to corporate guidelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive security audits to maintain compliance and ensure operational integrity.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps through risk and vulnerability assessments of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Provide security awareness training to users and communicate identified issues to management.
  • Evaluate security events and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement efficient information security practices in service delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of cybersecurity experience, with additional experience considered in place of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship, with an active DoD TS clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Experience working in systems integration labs.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity policies and practices.
  • Proficient in writing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation.
  • Possession of Security+ certification (8570 compliant).
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53A security controls.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of basic Linux and Windows administration.
Location: This position is located in Tewksbury, MA near Hanscom AFB.

Pay Range: $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

This salary range serves as a guideline and may vary based on responsibilities, experience, and other factors.
