ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED The Cybersecurity Focused Operations Lead will directly work with the Chief of Cybersecurity Operations. They will take previous experience with cybersecurity operations, cybersecurity engineering, systems engineering, and systems administration to oversee the future planning and day-to-day operations of the CTS Branch. The Cybersecurity Focused Operations Lead will oversee and direct all teams within CTS. This includes the Cyber Data Analytics, Endpoint Security Services, Vulnerability Testing Services (ACAS), and Network Security Services teams. Because of this, the candidate will be required to effectively work with and communicate with varying levels of stakeholders to include TCS leadership, senior executives, technical customers, non-technical customers, and all TCS staff down to the lowest levels. Responsibilities: Will assist with the monitoring of performance and morale of staff across the Cybersecurity Technology Services Branch by providing awareness and, if relevant, recommended courses of action, to resolve issues, to the Chief of Cybersecurity Operations and the Chief of Cybersecurity Engineering As needed, will provide guidance or direction to lower-level staff Provide a weekly briefing to the customer on current work and completed work. To include any issues identified that were addressed or residual issues that require further attention Continuously assesses the teams' capability/maturity and optimizes internal processes through various non-technical (i.e., audits/assessments, lessons learned) channels. Will act as the representative for any discovered recommended improvements, issues, or outages as it pertains to the operating and sustainment of all Cyber defensive capabilities. This will include attending scheduled meetings and/or briefing the customer on notable findings or recommendations, as needed In the event of high priority enterprise outages, must work with the Chief of Network Operations to quickly and effectively coordinate the analysis and resolution of issues within your area of responsibility. Qualifications:
Required: Candidate must have a TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph Demonstrated leadership experience serving as an operations chief, chief engineer, functional manager or team lead for a minimum of 8 years. Sufficient knowledge of complex enterprise cybersecurity systems and technologies with the ability to interpret network and web architecture documentation Demonstrated experience providing briefings to an executive audience Certified DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Officer (IAT) Level III Certified DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (Must obtain within 6 months if not held) Strong understanding of cybersecurity compliance policy, programs, processes, and metrics Excellent verbal and writing skills to enable comprehensive and timely communications across all stakeholders. Good understanding of project management concepts such as ITIL or Agile. Understands the differences between Iterative versus Waterfall methodologies and when to apply either Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Cyber Security Engineering or IT-related discipline. An additional 6 years of experience in cybersecurity may be substituted in lieu of degree. Desired: Demonstrated 5 or more years of experience supporting an IC or DoD agency in adopting and transitioning systems and services to cloud environments, including hybrid cloud environments. Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity design, engineering and operations with emphasis on NGA capabilities Demonstrated experience with ODNI ICS 500-27, NSM-8, and OMB M21-31 Familiarity with NIST 800-150 and NIST 800-92. Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $165k-175k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
