Piper Federal is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a DoD IT consulting company. This position is based in the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and fully onsite. Essential Duties of the Cybersecurity Engineer: Provide systems engineering expertise in the design, integration, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity infrastructure and capabilities.
Utilize defense-in-depth strategies and methods to harden systems and networks (e.g. blocking/filtering, IDS/IPS, A/V, logical separation of management traffic, content detonation and automated analysis, and DISA SRG/STIG compliance).
Maintain the establishment of infrastructure services supporting cybersecurity environments such as directory services in support of authentication, networking monitoring services, domain name services, virtual hosting infrastructure, etc.
Penetration testing with red team and blue team.
Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Engineer: 5+ years of experience with Linux
3+ years of experience with IDS, IPS, and host based security solutions
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Must of Security+ certification
Linux+, CASP, and CEH are highly preferred certifications
Compensation for the Cybersecurity Engineer: $170,000 - $190,000 (based on experience)
