Cybersecurity Engineer with Security Clearance

Description Position title: Deputy Chief Engineer Location: Columbia, MD Clearance Level Required: Secret Responsibilities (including but not limited to) : Lead and mentor a team of engineers. Ensure alignment of engineering practices with business goals and bridge gaps between the team's vertical segments. Evaluate potential new technologies and frameworks. Provide technical guidance to and oversight of a group of integration engineers. Collaborate with and brief senior leadership and stakeholders. Ensure engineering practices are robust, scalable, and secure. Drive the implementation of innovative solutions. Maintain a focus on quality, performance, and security. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Stay current with DOD policy, guidelines and best practices. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams Qualifications Bachelor's and/or Master's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in engineering roles. Proven track record of successful project delivery. Desired experience with a variety of zero trust technologies and frameworks including ICAM, PAM, and ABAC (e.g. Ping, Trend Micro, Virtru and Delinea). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with cloud computing and distributed systems. Knowledge of security and compliance standards. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong focus on quality, performance, and security. Experience with Agile and iterative development methodologies. Ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements. Strong organizational and time management skills.
