The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute to an exciting new cyber security program that supports critical government systems. You will be pivotal in overseeing the development, integration, delivery, and operations of IT-managed security services, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity threat monitoring and ensuring situational awareness regarding security posture for the enterprise. This role is in anticipation of an upcoming contract award.

What you'll be doing:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions that safeguard networks, systems, and data against cyber threats.
  • Utilizing a strong technical background in cybersecurity, network security, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contributing significantly to the securing of our infrastructure, responding to security incidents, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Developing and maintaining essential security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint security, and SIEM tools.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitoring security systems and adeptly responding to incidents, investigating and mitigating identified threats.
  • Supporting the integration of security best practices in system development and IT operations.
  • Implementing and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with established security frameworks and regulatory standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Automating security processes and enhancing detection capabilities through scripting languages like Python and PowerShell.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
  • Assisting in the development of security awareness programs and policy frameworks.
  • Collaborating closely with IT, DevOps, and security teams to ensure a secure system architecture.
What does Leidos need from me?
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
It's a plus if you have:
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • CISSP or other IAT III certification.

Pay Range: Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
