Red River Technology is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in supporting a mission-critical program for the Navy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with experience in securing, configuring, and assessing network security products. This role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing security measures to protect our program's data, systems, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the program's data, systems, and networks.
- Troubleshoot security and network problems.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security controls.
- Proactively monitor and analyze security logs and events to prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents.
- Maintain currency of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology systems engineering, or a related field, or applicable work experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearancerequired.
- Strong understanding and experience with securing, configuring, and assessing network security products such as Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE, and Splunk.
- Experience with performing security vulnerability scans (ACAS).
- 5 years of experience in cyber engineering (e.g., incident detection, incident response, forensic), with proven experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies.
- Experience with security assessment and penetration testing.
- Awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques (e.g., Mitre Attack Framework, Advanced Persistent Threats).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, DoD Compliance Frameworks such as DoDI 8510, DoDI 8570, Zero Trust Architectures).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
