Active Secret What You Will Do : Guidehouse is seeking skilled Cybersecurity Professionals to support mission-critical initiatives for the U.S. Department of State. These roles will span in range from technical subject matter experts, consultants, senior level to managing consultant positions and are critical to advancing the department's cybersecurity posture. Our cybersecurity experts will drive the implementation, enhancement, and management of complex technical solutions, including identity and access management, threat intelligence, incident response, and advanced security operations. These professionals will play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical infrastructure, aligning with federal cybersecurity standards, and supporting the development and deployment of cutting-edge security technologies. Successful candidates will bring extensive experience in cybersecurity strategy, technical execution, and collaboration with senior stakeholders to solve challenging security issues from design to implementation. What You Will Need : An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance Bachelor's degree
THREE (3) or more years of experience relevant to:
Cybersecurity, or
Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) or
Security Operations and Incident Response (SecOps) or
Information Security and Assurance or
Architectural and Technical Security or
Data and Analytics in Security or
Leadership and Strategy or
IT Technology Consultant What Would Be Nice To Have : Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
Proficiency with a variety of cybersecurity tools and frameworks is preferred, including:
SIEM Platforms: Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight for centralized monitoring and alerting.
Vulnerability Assessment Tools: Tenable Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
Penetration Testing Tools: Metasploit, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux for security assessments.
Incident Management Systems: FireEye, Carbon Black, or CrowdStrike for threat detection and response coordination.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, GCIH, CCNA or similar are strongly preferred to validate technical expertise.
Experience conducting HVA assessment or performing Risk and Vulnerability Assessments.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management, NIST 800-83 Rev 5.
Experience developing and maintaining working relationships while serving Federal clients onsite.
Ability to identify obstacles and opportunities that impact the success of plans or initiatives.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership when interacting with clients and fellow team members. The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
