Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Location: IRS Facility, DC Metro Area. Note: 24x7, on-call support required

Clearance: Public Trust

RISA is hiring a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst to support the security posture of the EAIB platform. This individual will track POA&M activity, support security documentation, and ensure ongoing compliance with IRS and federal security frameworks.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update system POA&Ms
  • Coordinate patch application and security scan verification
  • Document compliance activities and submit to IRS cybersecurity teams
  • Support system reviews, audits, and accreditation inputs
  • Assist in maintaining alignment with IRS IRM and FISMA requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in federal security compliance
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and federal POA&M frameworks
  • Experience with IRS cybersecurity or Treasury security standards preferred
  • Direct POA&M management
  • Patch coordination and STIG compliance
  • Knowledge of IRS-specific cybersecurity clearance processes is a plus
Work Environment:

Professional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees, customers, and outside vendors.
Expected Hours of Work:
  • 40 hours per week based on the customer's core operating hours.
