Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a strong team supporting our government customer. The Cybersecurity Analyst SME will be:
  • Responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues.
  • Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Documenting security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
  • Working with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
  • Fixing detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Recommending best practices for IT security.
  • Installing security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
  • Splunk Enterprise Security
  • Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
  • Performs the following kinds of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
  • May supervise others.
  • Support Operations Center that operates 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Operations Center team is responsible for actively detecting, monitoring, preventing, and analyzing real-time cybersecurity information, events, and threats.

  • GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON)
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
  • GIAC Certified Forensic Handler (GCFA)
  • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
  • GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA)
  • GIAC Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD)
  • GIAC Cloud Forensics Responder (GCFR)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
