Program Overview About The Role Peraton is seeking a Cyber System Engineer to support our Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) Software Engineering Support (SES) Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA. As a Senior System Engineer you will be supporting one of several systems within the C2P functions. This position will involve maintaining and implementing new capabilities (ECPs) into the RSCP test tool, System Host. The selected candidate will lead and support development scenarios for Host stimulus and also use a data reduction tool to analyze data between C2P and RSCP. Responsibilities may include:
Automate backups and ability to restore of systems.
Able to setup and maintain compliance of ACAS / STIG requirements.
Support Engineering and Test when system issues arise.
Comfortable setting up the lab environment and re-purposing equipment to meet development and test needs.
Troubleshoot systems and interface problems.
Able to test / build cables as required.
Supporting the integration of, and transition to new hardware and software systems for Tactical Data Links.
Qualifications Qualifications: Education: 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Clearance: Active Secret clearance
Certification: Security + required
Hardware engineering and integration pertaining COTS, USN C4I and USN EXCOM equipment, military and commercial grade hardware systems
Understanding coupling between hardware, BIOS, firmware, and software
Comfortable setting up the lab environment and familiarity with test equipment and repurposing equipment to meet development and test needs.
Experience with engineering in Navy C4I systems
Good understanding of Networking, scripting.
Experience with UNIX as a Systems Administrator
Experience gathering and analyzing data to determine system requirements.Desired Qualifications: Linux OS certification
Experience with the design to containerize legacy capabilities and creation of new container capabilities: Docker is highly desirable.
Use of various pieces of equipment.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
