ResponsibilitiesPeraton is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD.
As a Software Engineer, you are expected to perform requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.This is a position for a product development team. The candidate will have a primary focus of supporting all aspects of agile end-to-end application software design and development, including the front end and back end (Full stack) for the System. The focus of this design and development will be to create an intuitive and efficient interface for analysts that is fully 508 compliant. The candidate will be responsible for: the design, development and testing within the existing framework, including the integration of new applications, in coordination with the Product Owner, and Customer Leadership; triaging & prioritization of incoming user requests and developing wireframe for an effective UI based on feedback and new requirements; developing and applying advanced approaches and technologies to solve critical technological issues within the content of collaboration, information sharing and accessibility for the System.
QualificationsCore Competencies and Skills: - Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
- Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, andcomplexity is required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from anaccredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience onprojects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Java programming for distributed systems, with experience in networking and multi-threading
- Knowledge of the Vue.js framework and related components, such as Vuex and Vue
- Understanding of advanced JavaScript concepts such as dealing with asynchronous requests and dynamic content, CSS, HTML, and other frontend languages
- Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing of applications
- Agile development experience
- Well-grounded in Linux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
- Experience with source code management practices and tools
- Enabling tools: Git, Jira
Additional Desired Skills: - Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing: Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab Cl/Pipelines
- Continuous Monitoring: ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana), Nagios
- Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Python Scripting

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
