Cyber Security Systems Analyst . We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Columbus, OH or Pensacola, FL. This position is 100% onsite and offers an exciting opportunity to enhance the security posture of critical information systems.
Your Role: - Provide technical expertise to ensure top-notch quality deliverables to the team.
- Establish and enforce security protocols in alignment with customer objectives and current DoD regulations.
- Develop and update security assessment and authorization documentation for rigorous continuous monitoring of information systems.
- Validate security policies as established in the System Security Plan (SSP) and ensure compliance with customer regulations.
- Initiate and facilitate authorization processes for new or expiring systems, participating in related meetings.
- Conduct security audits in accordance with established procedures.
- Draft and review security documentation to be submitted to Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Ensure system security requirements are integrated throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Carry out ongoing security assessments and tests to confirm the effectiveness of security controls.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
- Review proposed changes to information systems and provide security assessments to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
Basic Qualifications: - BA/BS degree and at least 4 years of related experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proficiency with eMASS.
- Must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher upon starting.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI 1253, FIPS 199, and NIST SP 800-53.
- Understanding of RMF accreditation processes.
- Ability to create metrics, documentation, and presentations; capable of effective communication.
- Experience in auditing IT security controls.
- Knowledge of Continuous Monitoring practices.
- Experience in security scanning and interpreting results.
- Familiar with STIGs and SRGs.
- Knowledge of Common Control Processes.
- Strong project management and technical writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written customer service skills.
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret government security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in Agile environments.
- CISSP certification.
- ITIL certification.
- Top Secret government security clearance.

Pay Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
