Cybersecurity Lead

Position Overview:

Creek Technologies is seeking a skilled and highly experienced Cybersecurity Lead to oversee and manage cybersecurity initiatives within our organization. In anticipation for this position, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cybersecurity teams, ensuring robust information system governance, and ensuring timely and efficient execution of the Navy's Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. As a Cybersecurity Lead, you will be responsible for managing incident responses, network monitoring, system audits, and authorizing cloud services while ensuring the security of critical information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage teams of cybersecurity professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and achievement of cybersecurity objectives.
  • Information System Governance: Oversee and ensure the success of information system governance and authorization processes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) Execution: Manage the execution of information system authorizations, working within the Navy's RMF process to obtain authority to operate (ATO).
  • Project Management: Lead cybersecurity projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the required quality standards.
  • Incident Response and Network Monitoring: Oversee incident response efforts and provide leadership for network monitoring and security activities.
  • Cyber Workforce Management: Manage cyber workforce qualifications and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for cybersecurity personnel.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work: Foster effective communication and collaboration across organizational boundaries to drive successful outcomes for cybersecurity initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Potential candidates should possess requisite certifications that meet IAT Level III requirements
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in cybersecurity leadership, including experience managing teams of cybersecurity professionals with a focus on information system governance and authorization.
  • At least three years of experience in executing information system authorizations resulting in authority to operate (ATO) under the Navy's Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization process.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a project manager with demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting all quality requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing incident response, network monitoring, and information system audits.
  • Experience in managing the qualifications of cybersecurity personnel to comply with relevant policies.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • PMP certification (required).
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other cybersecurity-related credentials are a plus.
