Overview SOSi is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support a dynamic program at Shaw AFB, SC. The Cyber Security Engineer will provide management to the Authorization Official (AO) and Information Assurance Program Manager (IAPM) in protecting, detecting, characterizing, countering and mitigating unauthorized activity and vulnerabilities on DoD information networks and systems. Essential Job Duties Define and validate technical security requirements for proposed IT systems, and document system security design and/or determine if system design approaches meet mission security requirements. Integrate cybersecurity (CS) considerations into systems engineering and design processes and ensure that the CS portions of the overall system design are reflected in all contractor generated system engineering and design documents, test plans, procedures and reports. Ensure CS boundaries are clearly and consistently identified in all contractor generated program documents and drawings. Perform network security management services that include assisting the government with managing access restrictions to network facilities/resources, as well as protecting the confidentiality, authenticity and integrity of network management data. Adhere to and enforce all relevant Cyber Security policies and procedures. Advise and assist organizations in the preparation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, Connection Approval Process (CAP), and Approval to Operate (ATO) requests for existing and proposed system or network changes. Provide oversight of Program Managed (PM) and Programs of Record (POR) cybersecurity compliance; coordinate certification and accreditation efforts for PM or POR systems. Ensure effective dissemination, reporting, compliance, and verification processes and procedures. Provide oversight of security violations reporting and incident handling. Audit configuration management and change control processes and procedures. Conduct cybersecurity inspections, assessments, tests and audits as required. Coordinate CND policies and procedures across the AOR. Resolve information assurance help desk tickets. Demonstrate good writing skills to help with the production of processes and policy. Demonstrate good speaking skills used to lead presentations regarding Cyber Activities. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Required to produce Weekly Activity Reports to the direct manager. Minimum Requirements Active in scope DoD Secret security clearance. Bachelor's Degree in related field. Minimum of 3 years of RMF experience in a combatant command engineering IT solution for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and CPN-X. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting RMF and 7 years of experience in DoD Cyber environments. Must be IAM Level III Certified, (CISSP, CISM, GSLC). Ability to meet Visa and CRC CENTCOM Mod-15 Deployment Requirements. Preferred Qualifications Active in-scope Top Secret clearance is desired. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
