iWorld Professionals is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for our client in Rochester NY. This position is a hybrid position with the ability to work in the Rochester NY office on in-office days. Cyber Security Engineer Responsibilities: - Work as a hands-on engineering in the design of IT security architecture.
- Develop detailed cyber security designs.
- Identify and define system security requirements.
- Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for computer systems, networks, and cloud environments.
- Prepare and document standard security operating procedures and protocols for the business users.
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
- Develop technical solutions using new security tools to mitigate risk exposure, vulnerabilities and automate security control tasks.
- Communicate security incidents to managers and business leaders.
- Effectively resolve security issues as necessary
- Write comprehensive reports on security findings, outcomes, and potential vulnerabilities for system security enhancement.
Cyber Security Engineer Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable role as security administrator, systems engineer.
- CCNP Security, CompTIA, C HFI, or CEH. CISSP highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining security systems.
- Knowledge of database and operating system security tools
- Hands-on experience with security systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Familiarity with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment in Rochester NY
