KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate remote opening for a Cyber Security Engineer.

Essential Functions:

1.Technical Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least two of the specified technologies, providing in-depth knowledge and insights into their configuration, administration, and best practices.

2. Security Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain security solutions that align with industry best practices and organizational requirements. This includes firewall configurations, endpoint security, email security, and incident response.

3. Incident Response: Participate in the detection, analysis, and resolution of security incidents. Develop and maintain automated SOAR procedures to mitigate the impact of security breaches.

4. Security Policy and Compliance: Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all security-related processes, configurations, and incident response procedures.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, network engineers, and application developers, to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of our technology infrastructure.

7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies. Proactively identify opportunities for improving security measures and processes.

8. Security Orchestration Automated Response: Utilize Cortex XSOAR and other tools to automate response procedures through the development and tuning of playbooks, scripts and integrations. Mature the company's XSOAR platform by integrating diverse security tools and developing meaningful correlations and dashboards.

9. Data Protection: Continue the existing rollout of Microsoft Data Loss Prevention and Defender for Cloud Apps solutions to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and protect sensitive data. Work with cross-functional teams to develop an understanding of DLP requirements.

10. Web and Email Security: Optimize Symantec Proxy for web traffic inspection and URL filtering. Monitor and oversee Proofpoint for email security, anti-phishing, and spam filtering to ensure efficient protection.

11. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of security configurations, incidents, and response activities. Generate regular reports and documentation to demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented security measures.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or other relevant certifications preferred.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity and security engineering.

Expertise in at least two of the following technologies: Proofpoint, Cortex XDR, Cortex XSOAR, Microsoft Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, or Symantec Proxy.

Strong knowledge of network and systems security, threat detection, and incident response.

Proficiency in security tools, network protocols, and firewall configurations.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Experience with Rapid 7 Vulnerability Management
