Position Summary

As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cyber security solutions to protect the organization from potential cyber threats. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to assess current security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to enhance our overall security posture. The incumbent will play a crucial, hands-on role in safeguarding digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive security architecture aligned with Casella's business goals, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Design and review security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption protocols.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security measures through company-wide testing.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and address risks, creating security architecture elements for effective mitigation.
  5. Develop and maintain a company-wide incident response plan for rapid security incident management.
  6. Lead investigations into security breaches and collaborate on corrective actions.
  7. Create frameworks for delivering cybersecurity programs that balance business needs with security requirements, fostering a security-conscious culture.
  8. Develop training materials for IT support and training teams to elevate security awareness.
  9. Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of company products, services, and cybersecurity trends.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and safety.
Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. A strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies is essential. The candidate should be proficient in programming, coding, testing, and debugging technologies. Experience or interest in environmental and sustainability fields is a plus. Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Security, or equivalent experience, is required.
