As a Cyber Security Analyst on our team, you'll use your experience to work with the VA to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You'll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from technical SME's to assess the entire threat landscape. You'll then guide your client through a plan of action. You'll work with your client to translate network design and security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in security principles, concepts, policy, and regulations. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
You Have:
10 years experience with identifying risks in security systems and work with technical experts to resolve security issues
Experience with security assessments on systems with interconnections
Ability to effectively leverage detailed knowledge of security principles, concepts, policy, and regulations
Ability to identify key concepts, factors, and risks based on conversations and document these in clear and concise narrative or graphic reports
Ability to clearly and concisely provide guidance and collaboration with system personnel
Ability to draft and update technical documentation as required
BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline and 10 years' experience in a cyber security environment or 18 years of experience in cyber security environment in lieu of education
Nice If You Have:
Experience with configuration management and risk management
Experience with incident management and tracking
Knowledge of Network and Information Security
Knowledge of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Federal Information Process Standards (FIPS), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards such as 800-53
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Public Trust clearance
