Job Responsibilities: Operational Planning: Plan and coordinate integrated cyber operations, including training, exercises, and support activities.
Network Administration: Provide expert support for network development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Cyber Exercises and Operations: Facilitate large-scale cyber exercises and both defensive and offensive cyber operations.
Cyber Range Expertise: Collaborate with cyber operators to enhance cyber range capabilities for Cyber Command.
Training Event Design: Convert training and mission rehearsal objectives into actionable environments and assist in cyber range training event execution.
Technical Expertise: Share knowledge in architecture, virtual environments, networking, authentication, and system security, while mentoring junior technical staff.
Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements across training events and work with stakeholders on changes that affect the training ecosystem.
Basic Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related fields, with eight or more years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
Joint Event Life Cycle Knowledge: Understanding of the 5 stages of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JETC) related to training events.
Network Expertise: Proficient in network hardware design, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Operating Systems and Protocols: Familiarity with Linux and Windows, network administration, and several networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS).
Network Configuration: Experience in configuring, managing, and implementing network access control lists and Cisco switching/WAN/LAN technology.
Virtual Networking and Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient with MS Active Directory, VMWare NSX-T, and relevant cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
Security and Certifications: Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance and relevant IAT Level II/III certifications (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Python and Ansible for network device configuration.
- Familiarity with enterprise network management tools like SolarWinds, Cisco Smartnet, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of MS Exchange and Edge Transport servers.
- Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP & OSPF.
- Experience handling DNS servers, including queries and mail exchange records.
- Four or more years in cyber training and operations.
