Hawaii BCC Tracking Technician - CWD I/SME

Job Description

The Hawaii Battle Control Center Tracking Technician (TT) Instructor and Courseware Development (CWD) Subject Matter Expert (SME) must be customer-focused, with the capability to provide Academic Instruction and Device Instruction, in support of course syllabus, training plans, event lesson plans, and aid assistance to students. Instruction shall include platform training, remedial training, and monitoring of computer-based and self-paced instruction periods. The TT provides support developing positional courseware and training materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide academic and training device instruction to allow students to achieve the learning objectives associated with applicable syllabi or training plans. Complete syllabus tasks within the time specified for the lesson.
  • Use air traffic control services and radio calls during instruction that are IAW the current edition of Federal Aviation Administration Order (FAAO) 7110.65, Air Traffic Control, or applicable International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) manuals and circulars for OCONUS sites.
  • Conduct weapons system specific training.
  • Comply with AETCI 36-2909, Recruiting, Education, Accessions, and Training Standards of Conduct, and shall take immediate action to resolve violations of the prohibition on unprofessional relationships.
  • Accomplish Student Throughput and annual On-Time Graduation requirements of this contract.
  • Develop all courseware using the current, updated model of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) as defined in AFH 36-2235, Volumes 1-13, Information for Designers of Instructional Systems; ACCI 11-251, ACC Operations Training Development Program; ACCI 11-252, ACC Formal Operations Training Publication Management; and AETCI 36-2221, Flying Training Course and Special Publications Development. Contractor shall also employ Department of Defense

Instruction (DoDI) 1322.20, Development and Management of Interactive Courseware (ICW) for Military Training.
  • Analyze test items and cumulative data for trends for all courseware (as defined in AFH 36-2235, Volume 2). Maintain analysis results in the corresponding lesson's production folder.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, critique, and document student performance, identify learning difficulties, recognize objectives not accomplished, and prescribe and conduct remedial instruction as required to accomplish the requirements of this contract.
  • Prepares reports as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Required qualifications and experience:

1) Five years developing courseware and/or instructor/education experience required. The Government may approve substitution of equivalent military and /or civilian experience for required qualifications. 2) Attended a recognized instructor school or has an education degree or teaching credentials targeted to platform instruction. 3) Associate degree minimum with completed courses in test and measurement applications, statistics, psychology of learning, ISD applications, curriculum and instructional development, evaluation design application and theory, and computer based instructional design applications with 10 years' experience. 4) Seven years' experience with the Air Defense network. 5) Proficient with current Microsoft Office and Windows OS IAW ACC Standard configuration. 6) Strong oral communications and writing skills are necessary. 7) Must have a DoD Secret Clearance.

1) Bachelor's degree in related field of study

Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.

Security Responsibilities

Compliance with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials, in any form, produced by the incumbent. Shall be assigned specific responsibility for Information Security by immediate supervisor or department management. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. Incumbent shall execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information.

Language Skills

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.

Mathematical Skills

Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.
