Join the SLCC Community Writing Center and the Utah Arts Festival for four days packed with fun writing activities for all. From workshops for kids and adults to the Wasatch Iron Pen competition, there's something for everyone.
Volunteer for 1-3 hours and you'll receive a 1-day pass to the festival. Volunteer for 4 or more hours and get a 4-day pass.
As a CWC Event Representative, you'll engage with event attendees, help facilitate writing activities, and/or educate them about the SLCC Community Writing Center's mission and services.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with event attendees in positive manner
- Invite attendees to participate in tabling activities
- Answer inquiries about the SLCC Community Writing Center
- Assist staff at event as needed
CWC Event Representatives will report the SLCC Community Writing Center event coordinator.
All new volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation Session at the Community Writing Center before volunteering at events. To volunteer at this event, the orientation must be completed by June 10, 2019.
Volunteer Orientation Sessions are held at 6 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Community Writing Center at 210 E. 400 S. Suite 8 on the Plaza at Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City.
