The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Court Analyst to serve in the Help Center which will be located in the Syracuse Law Library at the Onondaga County Courthouse. This position will work primarily with the Help Center public facing users and assist in public outreach and will be trained to answer the State-Wide 1-800 Court Help line.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting and directing the public to appropriate legal forms and research databases available for various types of court proceedings.
- Assisting in preparing regional outreach brochures about the services offered in the Help Center.
- Assisting in organizing and analyzing data collected relating to the Help Center.
- Preparing correspondence.
- Some travel may be required to visit other help centers around the District and State.
Qualifications
One year in the Assistant Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with knowledge of City Court, Family Court, and/or Surrogate Court operations are encouraged to apply.
