Title: Sr. Customer Support Engineer
Location: Pasadena, CA
Duration: 6 months Contract with potential of full-time
Rate: $42-$48/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory instrumentation, including LCMS, HPLC, GC, IC, and other analytical equipment. The ideal candidate will provide on-site and remote technical support, ensure compliance with GxP and regulatory standards, and deliver customer training on instrument operation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and repair laboratory instruments at customer sites.
- Perform preventive & corrective maintenance and ensure system validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues on multi-vendor equipment.
- Provide technical support and train customers on instrument usage.
- Maintain documentation and comply with safety & regulatory guidelines.
- Support sales teams with technical insights and service contract opportunities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience servicing LCMS, HPLC, GC, or related lab equipment.
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Experience in GxP environments is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
