- Position: Client Support Engineer
- Location: Remote /hybrid work environment
- Reports to: David Pedrick Manager
- Department: Product Management - Raters & Providers
- Salary w/Stock options: Starting $75,000+ DOE
Role Overview: The Client Support Engineer (CSE) is a vital member of the team supporting their flagship product, Ekotrope RATER, one of the most widely used HERS. You will be the primary point of contact for client engagement and technical support. Clients for this product are home energy raters who work with home builders to help design more energy efficient homes and then inspect and certify those homes. Ekotrope also helps utilities run their energy efficiency programs more effectively. Your role will be to provide stellar customer support through active listening, analyzing and providing creative problem-solving strategies while providing general Q & nd product enhancements to improve the overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities: - Provide best-in-class client support including and not limited to:
- Technical support via phone and email.
- Energy modeling guidance (Training Provided).
- Client-focused projects as needed.
- Maintain our knowledge base support articles by:
- Regularly updating our existing articles.
- Identifying the need for, researching & creating new articles and white papers.
- Leverage customer interactions to help improve the product by:
- Identifying common customer issues & relaying suggestions to our product team.
- Being a part of our planning process to help influence product growth & development.
- Bug Triage:
- React to client bugs with empathy communicating in laymen terms for clear understanding with clients.
- Triage appropriately for the engineering team.

Schedule: - Monday - Friday
- 9AM-5PM EST
- 40-hour work week
Qualifications: - STEM background with 1 -3 years of customer support/service experience
- Computer science experience able to read, trace and debug code, assemble prewritten functions and write SQL queries.
- Strong communication skills both technical and interpersonal.
- Emotionally intelligent, able to receive and give constructive criticism in reference to the work.
- Passion for creative problem solving and people engagement.
- Experience with MS Office suite/Access, MySQL, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Google Suite, and JIRA (preferred)
- Familiar with residential construction.
- Familiar with RESNET HERS Industry, IECC codes or energy audits in general
