As a Customer Support and Inventory Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising and stocking products, operating the cash register, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an inviting environment.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 Year 3 - $18.50 Year 4 - $18.50 Year 5 - $19.50
Duties and Responsibilities: - Exhibit the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the position.
- Efficiently process customer purchases and maintain a clean store environment.
- Provide outstanding customer service and support to assist customers with their shopping needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and clearly communicate with the management team.
- Offer constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and any general issues.
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Follow cash handling policies and procedures to mitigate losses.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and security of documents and data.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Physical Demands: - Ability to stock and place merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds on various shelving heights.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
- Must be capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old to work in this role.
- Strong commitment to providing prompt and courteous customer service.
- Skillful in operating a cash register with accuracy and efficiency.
- Adept at safely using equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard bailers.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
- Capable of interpreting and integrating company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in working independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and multitask efficiently.
- Meet all local and state requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
