Summary:
  • Position Summary: To train new and existing employees in all skills essential to PFS Customer Service. Responsible for maintaining and updating the training material as processes change within the department and systems upgrade. During periods of downtime, act as a resource for staff and assist the leadership team. Capable of coordinating and communicating effectively during increased volumes or with complex patients. When special projects arise, capable of taking lead with implementing and training on new processes.

  • Makes every effort to provide an extraordinary customer service experience to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate all EPIC training for Customer Service staff with Principle Trainer.
  • Prepare and conduct orientation and training for employee and offer feedback to supervisor manager throughout the onboarding process. Oversee all aspects of employee training.
  • Creates and continuously evaluates training program, including training curriculum, materials and training schedule.
  • Critically assess whether trainees need further training or may not be suited for the requirements of the position.
  • Informs Team Lead and or Supervisor of all potential problems and issues immediately.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the revenue cycle which includes insurance billing, and associated correspondence e.g. EOB's, electronic remittance advices etc
  • Takes lead, trains and manages processes for any new projects and or upgrades.
  • Maintains knowledge in all aspects of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times when working with PHI.
  • Understands both hospital and professional sides of the revenue cycle.
  • The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
  • Assists with any special projects as assigned.
  • Assists with the interview process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five plus 5+ years of Customer Service experience, Billing and Account Resolution experience.
  • One 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply strong analytical qualities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree.
  • Two 2 years in a teaching or training role.
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Record EMR , preferably Epic.
