Customer Service Technician I Summary:

As the Customer Service Technician I , you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for

The Customer Service Technician I (CST I) assists customers who are experiencing any issues with the use of IT applications, products or services. Complex and/or high priority problems are elevated to specialized teams in Information Systems for resolution when needed. The CST I position has primary responsibility for ensuring that an effective solution is provided to the user.

The person(s) in this position should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to perform multiple complex tasks at one time.

Customer Service Technician I Job Responsibilities:
  • User Account Management including account creation, termination and modification
  • IT Department Invoice Processing
  • Help Desk Level I (remote phone-based support)
  • Inventory/Asset Management
  • Department Operations
  • Assists with other duties as assigned
Customer Service Technician I Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Microsoft certifications preferred
  • A+ certifications preferred
Experience:
  • Experience supporting a variety of hardware including desktops, laptops, and thin clients preferred
  • Experience supporting network-based printing preferred
  • Experience actively supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems preferred
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a direct customer support role, as part of a help desk or call center team preferred
  • 1 - 2 years working in the Information Technology industry, including direct evidentiary talents and responsibilities for supporting networked Windows workstations preferred
Customer Service Technician I Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be proficient in Reasoning, Math, Reading, Writing, Speaking clearing and with confidence.
  • Must be proficient in Mentoring, Gathering, Collating, Operating, Controlling by observing progresses of operations and turning devices to regulate reactions of materials or classifying information about data, people or things.
