This role is crucial for the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Team Members work closely with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, answer queries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and provide the best solutions tailored to their requirements. You will be responsible for swiftly resolving customer concerns and ensuring maximum client satisfaction. Staying up-to-date with product features and upholding high visual standards of the store and products will also be part of your responsibilities.
Your interaction with customers may include minors, and you will have access to cash, payment methods, personal information, and various store merchandise, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Consequently, a review of criminal history is necessary to safeguard the company's operations and protect the safety of our customers, staff, employees, vendors, and the general public.
The individual selected for this position will be expected to work at stores within a 10-mile radius of store , located at 300 Oyster Point Road, Newport News, VA 23602.

Key Responsibilities: - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone, identifying needs and presenting suitable products and services.
- Build productive trust relationships with customers.
- Accurately process sales transactions in line with policies and procedures.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Maintain detailed work order files and formulas.
- Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
- Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
- Stock shelves and create attractive displays.
- Clean store equipment and maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks.
- Help with deliveries as required.
- Ensure assigned areas remain presentable and in-stock.
- Stay informed about available products and options for customers.
- Adhere to inventory control procedures.
- Propose ideas to enhance sales performance.
Minimum Requirements: - At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
- Ability, with or without accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Availability to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications: - Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Experience in selling paint and paint-related products.
- Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
