This vital role is key to the success of our retail operations. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will engage closely with wholesale and retail customers to assess their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. You will also be responsible for promptly addressing any customer concerns to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

In this position, you will maintain a thorough understanding of product features and uphold the high quality and visual standards of our store. Your efforts will contribute to achieving outstanding customer service while consistently meeting the store's sales goals.

The position is full-time at Store , located at: 312 Douglas Ave. Yankton, SD 57078.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Assisting customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Building productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Processing sales transactions accurately and consistently in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Following and achieving sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintaining precise work order files and formulas.
  • Pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
  • Tinting and mixing products as needed to meet customer specifications.
  • Stocking shelves and setting up displays.
  • Cleaning store equipment and maintaining its good condition.
  • Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Assisting with deliveries as needed.
  • Keeping assigned areas in-stock and presentable.
  • Staying knowledgeable about offered products and discussing available options.
  • Complying with inventory control procedures.
  • Suggesting ways to improve sales.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be available to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Internal candidates must have received at least a meets expectations (3) rating on their most recent performance appraisal.
  • Internal candidates must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for their current position.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • At least a High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Previous experience selling paint and related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
