The Customer Supply Chain Specialist will manage customer inquiries, order entry, invoicing, and returns. Acting as a liaison between customers and internal departments, you will proactively identify and resolve issues, suggest process improvements, and manage performance reporting. You will collaborate with drayage carriers for deliveries and customer carriers for shipping.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages sensitive deadlines, prioritizes workload, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing, and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Process and manage customer orders via customer portals and manual order types.
  • Validate and verify pricing, lead times, and inventory availability.
  • Manage and update open order reports to customers providing all useful information.
  • Generate invoices and returns.
  • Support warehouse team by providing necessary documentation for order fulfillment.
  • Support drayage carriers by providing information necessary to pick-up shipments from railyards.
  • Coordinate with customer's carrier to set-up shipments and provide BOL paperwork.
  • Understand Company & Customer KPIs and report regularly against these targets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant customer service experience
  • ERP system experience required
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
