This role is vital for the success of our retail operations. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs and assist them with inquiries regarding our products at Sherwin-Williams. You will recommend the best solutions, promptly address any customer concerns, and ensure maximum satisfaction. Staying updated on product features is essential, as is maintaining the high quality and visual appeal of our store. You will strive to achieve exceptional customer service while consistently meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service to ensure a high level of satisfaction through excellent sales assistance.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and suggesting suitable products and services.
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with both wholesale and retail clients.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain organized work order files and product formulas.
  • Prepare products by pulling them from the sales floor or warehouse.
  • Mix and tint products as required to meet customer specifications.
  • Restock shelves and set up appealing displays.
  • Keep store equipment clean and in working order.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks as required.
  • Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock and presentable condition.
  • Stay informed about the products on offer to effectively discuss available options with customers.
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance sales performance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without the need for future sponsorship.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Ability to retrieve materials from shelves, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Prior experience selling paint and related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
The selected candidate will be expected to work at multiple store locations within a 20-mile radius of Store , situated at 3125 Millwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29205, including locations Camden, Columbia - Two-Notch, Blythewood, and Columbia - Landmark Square.
