This position plays a vital role in our retail operations. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will engage closely with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on Sherwin-Williams products. Your primary goal is to resolve customer inquiries promptly, ensuring maximum satisfaction while keeping up with product features and upholding high store standards.

You'll be expected to achieve excellent customer service and meet store sales goals consistently. This role involves direct customer contact, which may include working with minors, and access to various forms of payment, personal information, and valued merchandise. Consequently, a criminal history review is required to protect the safety of our customers, staff, and the overall business.

The selected candidate will work at Store , located at 615 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, 28804.

Minimum Hourly Wage: $15.50

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, identifying their needs and presenting suitable solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Maintain organized work order files and formulas.
  • Assist in pulling products from the sales floor or warehouse.
  • Tint and mix products to meet customer specifications.
  • Restock shelves and set up product displays.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and equipment functionality.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks as needed.
  • Assist with deliveries when required.
  • Keep assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing.
  • Stay knowledgeable about product offerings and discuss options with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures.
  • Propose ideas to enhance sales.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship for a work visa.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Experience selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages, preferably Spanish.
